As a purpose driven company, we’ve always been passionate about giving back to the planet for the resources we use.
We’re proud of the impact our community has achieved by reusing cardboard boxes. But we know that packaging still has an environmental impact.
Over the past two years, we’ve planted over 250,000 trees. During this time, we’ve also learnt more about the powerful impact we can have when we align our giving with projects that reflect both environmental and community priorities.

Our Partnership with 1% for the Planet
In 2023 we joined 1% for the Planet, a global network of businesses, individuals and environmental organisations committed to tackling our most urgent environmental issues.
As a member, we donate to one of their trusted partners to ensure our money is invested in the smartest of ways. We give directly to our partner each quarter and our donations are certified through annual documentation and proof of monetary support.
According to 1% for the Planet, only 3% of all philanthropic giving goes to environmental causes and they are on a mission to change that. Their network shows the incredible impact of collective action when businesses, individuals and organisations join together to support people and planet.

Giving Back to the Planet
Our Partnership with Eden: People + Planet
We’ve partnered with Eden: People + Planet to help bring their ambitious Landscape Restoration project to life. Eden don’t just plant trees, they take a holistic approach that restores ecosystems, supports local communities, and recognises the interconnectedness of people and nature. By partnering with them directly, we can make a tangible, lasting impact where it matters most.
The Rubeho Mountain Project
We’ve chosen to donate to Eden’s Rubeho Mountain Project. This is an area of 394,000 hectares in Tanzania’s Eastern Arc Mountains, recognised globally as an area of exceptional biodiversity and unique species. The project aims to work with communities to identify and address the causes of deforestation, improve community-based resource management, incentivise sustainable land use and restore degraded land through tree planting and revegetation.
The forest will be protected for a minimum of 40 years, although Eden aims to create structures through supporting and working with the community that ensure it is protected for generations. We’re proud to support projects like the Rubeho Mountain Project that reflect our values and ambitions for real-world impact.
How You’re Making a Difference
Over the next 12 months, we’ll be working with Eden to restore 5 hectares (that’s 50,000 square metres) of degraded land in the Rubeho Mountains.
Each time you choose to reuse cardboard boxes, you’re helping to restore and protect these forests, while supporting and strengthening the communities that depend on them.
Our Pledge to Plant 1 Million Trees
Tree planting is a cause close to our hearts and we’ve been donating to various tree planting projects for a number of years.
According to the Million Tree Pledge, an estimated 3 trillion trees have already been cut down which is 50% of the Earth’s total. Trees are vital for drawing down CO2 from the atmosphere, restoring biodiversity and helping to slow the effects of climate change.
That’s why we’ve chosen to join the Million Tree Pledge and committed to planting 1 million trees by 2030.

Our Climate action Workforce
Reuseabox has partnered with Ecologi to become a climate action workforce.
Through Ecologi we offset our employees’ carbon footprints by donating to climate projects all over the world. Projects range from renewable energy to peatland restoration and conservation. We also plant some trees through Ecologi.
